Overnight Camps

Golden Lake Camp

Golden Lake Camp is situated on the shores of Golden Lake, in the Ottawa Valley, in the beautiful hill and forest region southeast of Algonquin Park. Since 1962, we have offered safe and fun programs for children and teens, in a traditional camp setting. Our camper-to-staff ratio is better than 4:1, with trained counsellors and qualified lifeguards. “Geared-to-Income” rates (on request) allow every interested child to attend. Families of children with disabilities are invited to apply. At Golden Lake Camp, lasting friendships are formed, nature is explored and celebrated, and campers can “spread their wings” in what may be their first “away-overnight” experience.

As a Christian camp, we strive to welcome children from every religious background or none at all. Ideas of faith are explored through singing, stories, skits and open dialogue. All beliefs and perspectives are respected.

Camp Nominingue

Camp Nominingue has provided boys from around the world with an unforgettable summer camp experience for over 90 years. Set on 400 acres of forests and playing fields in Quebec’s northern Laurentians, Camp Nominingue is the perfect setting for cultivating friendships, self-confidence and a sense of achievement. We offer a wide range of camp activities and instructions, a leader-in-training program, wilderness canoe tripping and a family camp in August. Boys aged 7 to 16 live in tents, learn a number of outdoor skills, have frequent opportunity to make choices, develop leadership skills and to live a true wilderness experience. Located two and-a-half hours north-east of Ottawa, we offer chartered bus service from both Ottawa and Montreal. Our camper to staff ratio is 3:1, with most staff having grown up as campers at Nominingue. Please visit our web site or give us a call to find out more about our program and sessions.
