Camp Counselor

Kanata Montessori School is seeking a responsible and energetic individual to join our camp team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising campers in their daily activities and field trips as well as leading games and activities. Canoe Instructor
Cedar Ridge Camp
Canoeing is integral to our Canadian identity and an important part of the program at Cedar Ridge. Cedar Ridge Camp is currently seeking a Head Canoe instructor. The Head Canoe Instructor will be responsible for teaching beginner to advanced canoeing skills to campers ages 6-16. A successful candidate must have a paddling experience and have a passion for teaching canoeing to youth. Frontier Trails is seeking an ESL teacher, age 18 or older. Teachers would be teaching classes to International campers from many different countries and French campers. Course Description: ESL Program For those wanting to learn or improve their English. Ages 6-16: Each hour English lessons designed to introduce 15 to 20 new words to the student. Theme-based topics: horseback riding, mealtimes, hobbies, nature, animals & related vocabulary. Questions/answer practice exercises & workbook for in class use. In keeping with the “fun” side of camp, this program is geared to encourage speaking as opposed to writing proficiency. Taught in classes 1:2 or 1:20 depending on the children’s Eng. Proficiency. Horseback Riding Instructor

Cedar Ridge Camp is currently seeking an experienced Horseback Riding Instructor. The Horseback Riding instructor’s primary responsibility is to provide a safe and healthy environment for camper and horses. Riding instructors will deliver daily riding lessons, teaching basic to advanced riding skills as well as horsemanship and stable management. We are looking for NLS certified lifeguards with a Lifesaving Society instructor qualifications to teach swimming lessons to boys and girls aged 6-16. Must be 18 or older. Woodworking Instructor

Woodworking instructors will be responsible for teaching beginner to intermediate carpentry skills to campers ages 6-16. Daily supervision of campers to ensure that tools are being used safely and properly. A successful candidate must have prior experience closely related to carpentry or other woodworking positions, and have a passion for teaching youth. Our dates will go from June 24 to August 9 with the postnatal for working dates in the spring and early summer.
